Bankruptcy – limited companies
Bankruptcy (konkurs) is a procedure where all assets of a limited company are turned into money and used to pay off the company’s debts.
An application for bankruptcy can be made by the company or by a creditor. The application should be filed with the district court (tingsrätt) in the area where the company has its registered office. The court will inform Bolagsverket when the bankruptcy procedure starts and when it ends. The company is now dissolved.
