European economic interest grouping (EEIG)
European economic area nationals can start a European economic interest grouping.
A European economic interest grouping (EEIG) is a formation for European economic area (EEA) nationals, who work across national borders. This grouping needs at least two members from different member states.
An EEIG has the status of a legal entity in Sweden and you must register with Bolagsverket.
The members have to draw up a contract of formation and sign the application form you submit when registering with Bolagsverket.
You do not necessarily need a starting capital to form an EEIG, but each member of an EEIG is responsible for repaying the association’s debts, individually as well as in a group.
